  • Read, understand and comply with the MTOE of the institute and associated Training & Examinations Procedure Manual / Applicable SOPs.

  • Maintain all computers and computer equipment (computers and peripherals, printers, projectors etc.) in all computer labs, classrooms, Resource Room and Library (all non-staff computers) in good working order and up to date with the latest antivirus software and the latest operating system updates.
  • Maintain computers on the Domain. 
  • Ensure the lab is always supervised to avoid possible theft or malicious use of all the equipment. 
  • Ensure lab is locked and no one can access it when not supervised.

  • Ensure the appropriate working environment is provided, commensurate with the technical tasks being undertaken.
  • Ensure all maintenance and training services are performed against applicable OEM data/publications.
  • Ensure applicable OEM publications (AMM, CMM, SRM, AWM, IPC, etc.) are updated against which work services are being performed.
  • Establish a training zone/workbench in the applicable workshop/hangar for rendering training briefings and executing practical tasks on aircraft/engine components that have been removed from service. Ensure the requisite set of training components are tagged “RED” “FOR TRAINING ONLY” as per the applicable SOP provided in the Technical Services Manual.
  • Report any anomaly in the provisioning of technical/maintenance service or training to the respective Oi/c Work Center, and if unresolved, report the matter to Director NIVT verbally and in writing.
  • Training tasks shall only be supervised by authorized Practical Instructors/Assessors who have been issued with Authorization Certificate (AC-147) by the Quality Manager.
  • Maintain an updated list of all authorized personnel on NASTP payroll (TSEs/TSTs) and tabulate their authorizations, AC-145/147 certificates, and the services they are authorized to perform.
